At Altura, your money is insured by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF).

NCUSIF Insurance Coverage

The following accounts are covered for balances up to $250,000:

Each account holder is insured up to $250,000. Thus, a two-person account has $500,000 in coverage. Trust accounts are insured up to $250,000 per beneficiary. If your trust account has one trustee and two beneficiaries, you’re up to $500,000. Note that revocable and irrevocable trusts are calculated separately.

Exceeding Insurance Coverage Limits

If you’ve deposited funds that exceed NCUSIF limits, speak to a branch manager. They’ll happily assist you! You can also estimate NCUA coverage on your account  here .
