  • Same problem as all I have read. Made payments on time, got cancelled with no notice, cannot get customer service, tried all contact us ways, still no answer. This is either a scam company or very incompetent management.

  • Mind you I never write reviews I usually always read them. This my very first review I've ever written so that must tell you something! This company is a complete scam! My insurance have been cancelled twice from payments I've made with them and on time! The most recently cancellation was 8/19/19 and I didn't find out until 9/3/19 when I was trying to pay my insurance. Their system is poor managed and have all types of issues. Run run run fast do not deal with this company. If I could give negative stars I would. I've been riding around 10+ days with no insurance and nobody even reached out to me. Tread lightly.

  • After many phone calls to different people I still could not cancel this life insurance. I bought it 10 years ago. I have moved and also remarried changed my last name. Finally they sent me a letter I called found out they had my birthdate wrong on their file. I could not even register online but they kept taking money out of my account. Terrible customer service. On hold for long long time and yet they still could not rectify the problem they kept passing you to another person and then another person or dept. terrible company.if there is anything lower the 1 star that would be their review.

  • This has to be the sh*test insurance out there. They claim to have an online policy for cheaper prices. They make it extremely hard to share an documents with your auto dealer. They won't fax anything. Metlife is a big pile of garage and so is their third world customer service. Don't get their insurance!

  • In less than two years our rates went from 83 to 138. We had no changes in our perfect driving records. Customer service is difficult to understand. They did not explain clearly that your first payment does not pay for your first month's coverage it is just a "down payment" for the pleasure of doing business with them. Therefore although we paid the exact amount of our policy initially you will still owe a prorated amount or another entire payment. I do NOT recommend. I will NEVER use them again. We switched to Geico where I get customer service from someone that lives in our state for the same starting rate with great coverage.

  • I tried to renew the insurance on my vehicle and found it not only did it have a Salvage Title, but my insurance have been dropped since April. No notification of any sort, about the insurance - just a check reimbursement of overpayment. I have a court order that states my vehicle is not salvaged, and I never did any of the forms. My vehicle has never been repaired. The agent closed my case before State Farm denied my claim. I believe that when I reopened my claim, that's when the title was changed. Mass Mutual hasn't responded either. It started off pretty well until I was in this accident.

  • I am an auto dealer and I work with insurance companies everyday, this company is absolutely horrible! You cannot get a declaration page, you cannot get a person on the phone, it is a complete waste of money! I feel sorry for my customer because her loan is going to be turned down due to not being able to provide the declaration page with the lienholder listed! I have spent over 4 hours on the phone and still no results!

  • Paid my policy with metlife then they say my policy is cancelled. Noone ever sent a reminder or a payment on a supposedly missed payment? Every month the policy was paid! They are shady! Said I owed 50 dollars for something past due and I could never find a missed payment! They took my money and immediately said my policy was cancelled. I called complained to no avail! Will never use this company again

  • This companies website never ever works correctly. After you create an account a week later your log in information doesn't work. You are forced to call a number to reset your pass word that is only avaliable m-f 9-5 EST. There is no way to get your information or recover or change your password that they make you reset every week because even after you call them and reset the password your new password won't work the next time you use it. The website just sends you in circles and there is no other way to do anything without calling them. Worst website and customer service I have ever experienced. Will be cancelling and be moving on. This insurance company Definately the worst. There is not even an insurance verification number.

  • I had MetLife Mydirect and I wouldn't ever recommend it to anyone, ever! The ease of access on the website is despicable, at best and the website is ALWAYS down for some sort of maintenance on a daily basis. Cannot drop a vehicle on the policy and add another one. It's just too much of a pain to deal with, and they're not very competitive with their pricing. I switched carriers mainly because of the website, you'll rip your hair out trying to navigate through it and print policy documents (which I would be surprised if you can manage to even do this!)

  • This company is the god-awful worst. My parked car got hit and they refused to payout. Instead of cutting me a check they decided to delay this process weeks. Low and behold I thought they are trying to investigate the accident oh no, they were actually investigating me. I purchased a new car and changed my policy weeks prior to fit this purchase. Somehow they decided I was trying to commit fraud. My car gets fixed, they're still investigating me, I ended up paying out of pocket for my repairs because obviously I need my car to get around. Weeks go by and no check. I ended up saying f-ck it, and ended the claim, and cancelled my policy immediately This whole company is a piece of sh-t scam. Kenneth Pangburn can rot in hell.

  • I have never experienced so many problems with a company. No matter what I did I could never get my payments to process through their systems. Any representative I spoke to would refer me to their website. Their website is "experiencing technical difficulties" the majority of the time. The process to make a payment would take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. I really feel as though I was scammed.

  • Run fast these scammers don't pay claims and they will cancel your insurance off their technical issues. You will not be able to speak to a manager. Agent will claim you will receive a call back however, all lies no one will never call.

  • I was involved in an accident and it wasn't my fault it was the other driver at fault and they paid for the repair of my car but a week later I get a cancellation notice now remind you that I've been with this company for about 3 years no accident no nothing up until that particular time they don't want to pay out no money so they will cancel you your policy crazy but glad I found another insurance company just as well what do they think insurance companies for just to get your money and not pay out when there's a situation of an accident. Cancellation of your policy at their discretion and at someone else fault and you are not at fault

  • They only talk to you on their portal, and they are never available. The prices are good BUT you really do get what you pay for, they are awful. I hate that you cannot talk on the phone and they cancelled my policy without ANY notice, and I had to make them reinstate it, someone should report them to the Insurance Commissioner in each state. They really are a terrible company.

  • I recently spoke with a rude customer service representative who could not explain why on my renewal that I will be charged two months premium in March than I will have a bill in April for my monthly charge. Saying that they sent a renewal notice back in January that I should have contacted them earlier to charge my policy to monthly but they will bill monthly after I make this double payment. If I could do a negative resting they would get (-35)

Experienced a deceptive customer service representative who cancelled my policy AFTER I made a payment. Never dealt with a more unprofessional cadre of people. They have also took a larger Payment than we discussed for my policy! Who the hell would agree to pay more for liability than they would pay for full coverage? Not me!   • My. Direct is the worse! I was told by a rep that I could double up on my policy payment. So my policy is due on the 15th of each month, so Oct I paid both payments on 10/20 and so I go to pay today and I have been advised that my policy have been cancelled since 11/9 and they go to tell me that my term is over i didnt get any noticifation and she tells i apologize & there still a lapse for that week? STAY AWAY. This is one of many issues... you can only pay online and if the system is down then you are out of luck.
